As a brand-new team, only put together roughly around two months ago, these boys are continuing to learn, grow and develop every week, and today they showed some serious character.

We started the game slowly and weren't quite at our best, but somehow still managed to open the scoring. From there, Cuxton started to get on top and put us under some pressure, eventually turning the game around netting twice.

A little reshuffle in midfield was needed and, going into the second quarter, the boys came out with a proper kick up the backside!

Suddenly there was a completely different intensity about us. We fought for every ball, started moving it better and got ourselves right back into the game.

The final two quarters were probably our best football of the game. We stopped Cuxton from playing, limited their chances and gave them very little threat in front of our goal. At the other end, we started creating more and more, eventually adding another three goals.

A fantastic comeback and a brilliant team performance against a very strong Cuxton side. Most importantly, the boys showed that even when things aren't going their way, they have the character to change the game and fight their way back.

For a team that's only been together for two months, there are some really exciting signs of what this group can become.
