Jaguars and Lions Thrill in Action-Packed Real 60 Derby
It was a proper club derby today as the Real 60 Jaguars went toe-to-toe with their fellow clubmates, the Lions, in a pulsating, end-to-end clash for the penultimate game of the season. Played with incredible intensity and immense respect, both sides showcased high-level football, fierce tackles, and a collection of stunning goals.
From the first whistle, the match was a relentless contest across every inch of the pitch, with both teams trading brilliant attacking spells.
Among the standout moments for the Jaguars, Caleb Harris put on a goalscoring masterclass by grabbing a superb brace. His highlight of the match came from a moment of pure determination—chasing down a ball that looked destined to roll out of play, keeping it alive with sheer grit, and driving forward to slot home a powerful finish.
Oren Stow also produced a moment of absolute quality for the Jags, winning the ball back with a fierce challenge near the halfway line before embarking on a driving run all the way into the box and burying his strike past the keeper.
Lions show their Striking Brilliance
The Lions proved every bit as dangerous, pushing the Jaguars to their absolute limits and producing some breathtaking goals of their own. Lions striker Harry Howard was in sensational form, putting on an absolute clinic in front of goal and netting a thoroughly impressive hat-trick to keep his side right in the heart of the battle.
As the final whistle blew, both teams were met with ringing applause from the sidelines. It was a magnificent showcase of grassroots football—end-to-end, fiercely competitive, and played in fantastic spirit from start to finish. Players from both the Jaguars and the Lions walked off the pitch with their heads held high, incredibly proud of the show they put on for the club.
A proper derby to remember as the season heads into its final stretch!
