After last week’s frustration, our Lions needed a response - and what a response it was! On a fresh and foggy morning that began with a two-minute silence to honour and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, Real 60 delivered a performance they would have been proud of.

The breakthrough came after 15 minutes with a moment of pure quality. Zaac’s long ball was met by a delightful flick from Luca, perfectly setting Leo free. One-on-one with the keeper, he kept his composure to slide it calmly into the bottom corner. 1-0!

Five minutes before the break, the lead was doubled through brilliant individual skill. Jake nutmegged his marker on the byline before somehow keeping the ball in play and cutting it back to George, who had time to take a touch just outside the six-yard box before slotting home. 2-0 at halftime and playing some superb football!

The second half started as the first ended. Seven minutes in, more excellent work from Jake in midfield saw him collect possession before launching a perfectly weighted lofted through ball. Bobby timed his run to perfection, bearing down on goal before coolly finishing one-on-one. Clinical!

Just three minutes later, Bobby grabbed his second with a moment of individual magic. Picking up the ball wide on the left edge of the area, he showed fine skill to beat his man before tucking a clever finish in at the near post. 4-0 and cruising!

Ten minutes from time, it was five. Another sublime lofted ball from Alfie into the box found Leo, who rounded the keeper with ease before rolling it into the bottom corner. A magnificent individual display capped with a second goal!

Cobham pulled back two late consolation goals, but it was far too little, too late. This was Real 60’s day - a statement victory against a very strong in-form side.
