Jaguars welcomed Medway United West to their home ground on Sunday morning in what turned out to be an incredible contest between two determined sides. Both teams created early chances, testing each other’s defences, before Charlie Staples produced a moment of magic — striking from the halfway line to give the Jaguars a stunning lead.

Medway refused to back down, battling their way back into the game with two well-taken goals that briefly turned the tide in their favour. But the Jaguars showed exactly what they’re made of. They battled for every inch of the pitch, ran tirelessly, and threw their bodies on the line. Every tackle, block and clearance showed just how much the team wanted it — defending as a unit and never giving Medway an inch.

Their resilience paid off when Caleb Harris pounced on a loose ball and drilled his effort superbly into the corner to bring the game level. With the momentum now firmly in their favour, the Jaguars pressed forward, and Hunter Ward coolly finished to cap off a brilliant team performance.

Hunter’s tireless display earned him the Supporters’ Player of the Match, while both Lenny Green and Charlie Staples were deserved recipients of the Coaches’ Trophy for their outstanding performances.
