The Leopards welcomed a strong Meopham side to Borstal for their final ever game.
The hosts had a full squad to choose from and even had Ollie May, Ollie Morris & Hayden in attendance for a final team photo.
The game started at a frenetic pace as both sides looked to get their noses in front.
It was the Leopards who went close early on as Luke's flick on fell to Benni, who from 25 yards BOOTED IT REALLY HARD at goal, the keeper didn't even see it as it clipped the top of the crossbar.
But it was the visitors who opened the scoring as their forward got in behind and lobbed it over Tommy.
The hosts responded as had a goal chalked off after David slotted home a loose ball from a corner
The Leopards were then indebted to Tommy, who made a block from point blank range.
Into the Second Half and the Leopards came out all guns blazing as they looked to get back in the game.
But it was Meopham who extended their lead as they broke away and scored with a low shot inside Tommy's near post.
They went close to extending their advantage as first Tommy saved a one-on-one then Peter somehow blocked the follow up when a goal seemed inevitable.
The Leopards then came fighting back, and pulled a goal back as Benni was fouled by the keeper, he dusted himself off and slotted away the penalty to the keepers right.
Then, Paul cut inside from the right and his superb curling effort rebounded off the crossbar.
Brick then fell over the ball! HAHA.
They were left to rue that miss as Meopham broke down the other end and their forward was upended by Josh (obvs!), he slotted away the penalty to claim his hat trick.
The Leopards keep pushing to get back in the game, but Phillip was denied by an excellent save by the keeper.
Parents Player: Benni;
Coaches Player: Josh.
Coaches Thoughts
Well, not the way we wanted our time to end, but on the day we were beaten by a better side.
The boys worked their socks off and on another day, could have had another couple of goals.
So proud of these boys today and everything they have achieved in our time together.
So many amazing memories to look back on!
