The Leopards returned to action after a few weeks off with a tough trip to league leaders Upchurch.
The visitors were missing David & Callum though injury, while Phillip was struggling with a tight hamstring but was available.
The Leopards made the perfect start as Paul won possession from Peter’s clearance deep inside the Upchurch half, he took the shot on early which skipped past the keeper into the bottom corner.
As expected Upchurch had the majority of possession but the midfield 3 of Zach, Ben & Jack were fighting for every loose ball.
Into the Second Half and the Leopards again made a great start, Zach found Joe in space on the left, his dangerous low ball found Connor at the far post who took a touch before firing into the roof of the net.
The Leopards continued to soak up the pressure, with the back 4 of Brick, Josh, Peter & Joseph were defending superbly.
Tommy then made an excellent stop low down to his left from a shot inside the box.
The visitors got another sight of goal, as Ben’s long range effort fell to Benni inside the box, he manoeuvred the ball onto his right foot and his effort was deflected over the bar.
With less than 10 minutes left, Upchurch grabbed themselves a lifeline as ball deep into the box from the right was rifled home at the far post, an excellent finish!
And into injury time, the hosts netted a deserved equaliser, as they got in behind down the right then a ball across goal was bundled home at the far post.
Parents Player: Connor;
Coaches Player: Benni.
Coaches Thoughts
Absolutely gutted for the boys, who worked so hard throughout the game, to not get the win their efforts deserved.
But there are so many positives to take from the game, and need to take them into our remaining games.
