The Leopards returned to face Meopham Yellows following last week's defeat in the league.
The visitors had a full squad of 16 as they welcomed back Joe & Benni, and with that came a change of formation to 4-3-3 to combat the hosts threat on the flanks.
The Leopards started really strongly and nearly too an early lead as Zach helped Jack's free kick in behind the defence, Paul beat the keeper to the ball and his effort was blocked on the line.
Meopham then took the lead with their first attack as a corner from the left dipped over Tommy and in off the far post.
But the visitors responded positively as Benni bundled his way through in the box but his shot on the stretch went over the bar.
The Leopards were then denied a potential penalty as Paul beat the defender to a loose ball just inside the box and was barged over, but the referee waved away the appeals.
The hosts then extended their lead, following a ball forward which struck their wingers hand. The ball was only half cleared to their forward 25 yards out his long range effort was deflected and looped over Tommy and just under the crossbar. 2-0 down but arguably the better team so far.
Into the Second Half and the hosts extended their advantage as an excellent cross from the right was bravely blocked by Tommy but the rebound fell to their forward who bundled home from close range.
The Leopards continued to push forward and had another sight of goal as Zach flicked on Tommy's goal kick and Paul burst down the inside left channel but fired straight at the keeper.
The visitors went close again as Callum's free kick was curled expertly around the wall but the keeper saved at the near post.
Parents Player: Zach;
Coaches Player: Benni.
Coaches Thoughts
Really gutted for the boys, they put in a really good performance, but were undone by a couple of long range efforts.
On another day, we get a bit of luck and win that game.
But it wasn't to be, and we now concentrate on the league.
