The Leopards travelled to Meopham for the first of two meetings in two weeks.

The visitors welcomed back Luke & David, but Benni missed out through illness.

Meopham started strongly, moving the ball well and the back 3 of Josh, Peter & Joseph knew they were in for a busy afternoon!

The Leopards took a while to get going, then Paul was denied by the offside flag after Callum had played him through.

The hosts then deservedly took the lead as they broke down their right, ball was squared to the edge of the box where an excellent finish from the edge of box giving Tommy no chance.

Into the Second Half and the boys were told they needed to raise their game and they started the half well, with Zach, Ben & Callum starting to win their midfield battles.

Phillip broke down the right past his full back but his effort across goal beat the arriving Paul & David.

Meopham then had a golden opportunity to extend their lead as Josh conceded (another) penalty, but Tommy won the mind games as he guessed right but the kick rebounded off the bar.

David then had a sight of goal cutting in from the left after good work from Jack & David but his shot was blocked.

Tommy then made an outstanding save, from a shot destined for the top left corner, he flew to his right and tipped it round the post.

The hosts then put the game to bed with an outstanding strike, a loose ball broke around 25 yards out. Their midfielder came steaming onto it and smashed a rocket into the top right corner.

Coaches Thoughts
Sadly we were second best for much of the game and never really reached the levels we have done for the majority of the season.
But we dust ourselves down and need to ensure we are better against them again next week.
