The Leopards welcomed Omega to Borstal in a reversed fixture due to exams at Victory Academy?

The hosts gave debuts to new signings Ted and Michael, while Zach Williams missed out due to an ongoing hip injury.

The Leopards started well with Vincent and Ollie passing the ball well through midfield.

The visitors took the lead against the run of play as a free kick from just outside the box dipped over Ryan and underneath the crossbar.

The hosts looked dangerous every time they went forward, Ted played Zach Mitchell in down the left but he was unable to get a shot away.

Luke was holding the ball up well and was linking play.

Benni then burst into the box from Callum’s pass and was denied from close range by the advancing keeper.

Into the Second Half and the hosts continued the have the majority of possession.

The visitors had a few breaks but the defensive unit of Joseph, Teddy, Josh & Brick were as solid as ever.

Joseph then won possession just inside the Omega half, burst down the left before cutting inside and curling an effort at goal which the keeper again saved.

In midfield, Callum and Connor were moving the ball well through midfield.

Soon after came the golden opportunity as from Will’s right wing cross, the ball fell to Max 8 yards out he launched the ball at goal, somehow it deflected off the keeper and onto the bar which is probably still shaking now.

The Leopards went close again soon after as Max played Michael through on goal, he sped past his defender and tried to clip the ball over the keeper, but the keeper managed to reach up and somehow claw it away.

Coaches Thoughts
Another game, another good performance, another game where we didn’t get the result we deserved.
We controlled the game from start to finish, created plenty of chances but came up against a solid keeper.
But plenty of positives, a good team performance and good debuts for our 2 new boys. If we continue to play like that we will win more games.
