Club Mourns the Passing of Former Coach & Player Oz Carter

Ben Bradley25 Oct - 19:10

RIP Oz

It is with great sadness that the club has learnt of the passing of former coach and player, Oz Carter.

Oz was a true club stalwart, dedicating countless years to the development and success of our teams both on and off the pitch.

He took his Tigers team, which included his son Luke, from the early days at Soccer School right through to their move into the Kent League with Bredhurst — a journey in which he inspired many young players and families along the way.

As well as his achievements as a coach, Oz also played for the Men’s Team in goal, under the management of Arthur Branton.

He is fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to the club and his willingness to help out in any situation, highlighted when camping overnight at Borstal during our annual tournament!

Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Shelley, his children Caprice, Annalise & Luke, and all of Oz’s family and friends during this difficult time.

As a mark of respect, all our teams will hold a minute’s silence before their games tomorrow (26th October) to honour Oz’s memory.

Rest in peace Oz, Forever a Tiger
