Wildcats were formed by Barry Cownden after the start of the 2006/2007 season starting with his son and picking up players over the coming months. At the end of the season he managed to recruit Rob Osborne as his assistant after his son Connor left Lynx to have more football opportunities. Together they guided the team ot a respectable 5th in their first season
